Nintendo’s Wii console is a revolutionary design offering a motion-sensitive game play which makes you more involved having to physically play each game. With built in Wi-fi like Sony’s Playstation 3 and the X-box elite, this will deliver free online services and gameplay online. Not only is the console compatible with all GameCube games and controllers but it offers an SD card slot for storage and viewing of photo images. This console is addictive the moment switched on and has to be the most affordable home game console for everyone to play.
I had just purchased the Panasonic TX-32LZD85 LCD TV for our living room as our old TV sadly left us with a multicoloured screen. My son currently has the Playstation 3 which is amazing and looks fantastic on our TV. He is the only one that plays it and our daughter gets annoyed that she hasn’t got a console to play with. She was always going on about the Nintendo Wii about how all her mates have got one and how great they are.
Yes, I gave in to her moaning as I thought it could be something everyone can play. To the delight of going to buy one, I noticed that the console came with a game inside known as Wii Sports. This included sports such as tennis, golf and boxing which looked really good and should be fun to play being a motion-sensitive console. The console is different from the Playstation 3 and to begin with doesn’t look as graphical as the Playstation 3 but with a motion-sensitive game you don’t really look at that too much. It still looks amazing the way the game works and the graphics are fun to look at.
Well, it blew me away completely when first playing, my gosh is it fun to play and slightly competitive when playing your daughter who’s aged 7 and son who’s 12 whom both win against you. Wii sports is packed full of bowling, boxing, golf, baseball and tennis which are al great fun. Tennis was my favourite having to move around the court and play those shots to perfection across the bi-line. Boxing was also another great one having to judge those punches and knock your opponent down when there guard is down. We have also decided to get the Mario kart game with wheel to test who has the best driving skills for real. You can add so many accessories to feel the reality of each game you play.
This console really gets you involved and is addictive in a good way playing against family and friends. Its not as powerful as the Playstation 3 or X-Box but I’m sure more people would find the Nintendo Wii more playful. What a compelling console and I thank my daughter for moaning at me for not having one, best purchase I have made in a while.
